Please keep the message boards! I check them out for every movie & tv show I watch. The good far outweighs the bad.

The message board is what makes IMDB what it is, get rid of that and IMDB just becomes a generic movie site. Please re-consider.

I'm an 11-year member who visits IMDb constantly mainly because of the message boards. The connections I have made over the years have been invaluable. I can ignore the trolls and the flamers. Sadly, I can also ignore IMDb after the boards are gone -- and probably will.

For those of us who do not choose to join social media sites like Facebooklet and Tweeters, and prefer to deal with this original site, this is very disappointing. I am very sorry this is closing. It was part of my life and have used it every day since 2004.

please please please don't shut the boards down!!! they are an integral aspect to your site and to many people's viewing pleasure. i visit the boards after every single movie i watch!!! if it's a matter of money, please consider keeping the boards open for subscribing users - i would definitely prefer paying to read the boards instead of not having them whatsoever. please please please reconsider!!

I've never been an avid poster on the IMDB forums, but I do consider myself an avid reader of them. I usually use them to keep myself updated on movies that are currently on production or post-production, or to get insight or a movie I have just seen. I hope the people at IMDB that made this decision come to their senses, and this removal of the message boards is not executed.

The message boards were the primary reason I visited IMDB. No where can I discuss or see what other people think about an older or obscure film on FaceBook or Twitter.
