The message boards represent a vital community and removing them would represent an enormous loss of functionality. Conversations about earlier, less mainstream movies are not available elsewhere and would be lost forever. Please don't take this away from us.

I am so so upset of this news. I use omdb and its message boards almost daily. And while I am not a contributor I do enjoy learning extra facts and tidbits with almost every show I watch. Please reconsider! -fran

I myself have been visiting IMDb on a near daily basis for more than 15 years. This facet of IMDb is for many, the very part of your community that brought us here in the first place. And for that reason, it is in part the message boards that have helped make your online community as big as it is. Now from those people who have helped build your community, you are removing a major reason we come here. To leave the message boards in place will keep IMDb the one source unlike any other of its kind. To drop it will make you just like any other movie site out there. Maybe even less so; drop the message boards and a great number of people will drop IMDb. Consider those of us who love IMDb for what it is.

I've been on imdb for years; I love the information and the message boards, which provide a great opportunity for people who enjoy a tv show or movie to find each other and discuss them. Please let us keep these, and don't let a bratty few ruin it! Thank you for your consideration.
