Petition to keep the IMDB messageboards going

The message boards were a huge part of why I came to IMDB for 9 years. Most sites would appreciate all that web traffic. Reconsider this very ill-informed decision!

One can ignore the trolls, but it'd be hard to find a more easily accessible meeting place for those with an interest to share perspective, insight, interpretation and occasional 'insider' feedback based on professional/personal life that enriches one's experience of a film.

Please don't let it happen. I always come to message boards for movie trivia and discussion.

Keep the boards going!!!

Imdb boards is the best. It shouldn't get closed.

The message boards are one of the only reasons I visit imdb, please don't close them

I Enjoy this message boards. Also i dont use fb, tw, pinreast etc. , so somehow this is a suicide note from imdb to all dedicated movie fans who had a reačly nice time here, learned a lot.

I rely on the message boards for other viewers perspectives on movies I've enjoyed, as well as answers about puzzling elements to various movies. Please don't take that away from us. If websites are shut down due to trollers, there won't be a single site left on the Internet.

Some of these message boards have been incredibly helpful when searching for opinions on movies and TV shows. This is ridiculous and makes no sense.

Please reconsider closing the message boards. I've learned so many opinions and facts about the movies and actors I enjoy. I've shown so many people how to search for the answers they're looking for about their favourite movies. Again I ask you to please leave the message boards as a forum for all to enjoy.

Please keep the message boards up. It is a way for me to find any type of detailed information about anything I want to know. It will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!

Please don't ruin imdb

Please do not close the IMDB message board. I've been a member for over ten years and think of IMDB as a second home. It is a unique place for people to express views and opinions about favorite films and tv shows. Closing it will leave millions without a "home".

PLEASE keep the message boards. It's much simpler to go to a message board about a topic & find things out.

Removal of the message boards does not seem to make a lot of sense, a lot of people do like discussing ideas or takes on the movies, and having to do so in another site will only draw people away from IMDb. Having less traffic can never be good.

I've had an IMDB account since 2002. I have enjoyed the message boards since before that and visit daily to read discussions about movies and tv shows. It is really the only reason I visit. Why should I visit IMDB at all if the discussion is gone? I can find movie information other places on the web. I do not use social media, and refuse to do so.

Please don't take this feature away!

The message boards were my favorite way of discussing shows and movies with people from all over the world. They also allowed me to read in-depth analyses that went way beyond what the reviews could offer. People could post questions and other users could answer them, people could share thoughts and feel connected to each other, and they could just have fun! Please reconsider taking the boards away. There is no other convenient venue for this type of discussion, since IMDB has all titles and actors already organized. It would be a shame!

The only reason to go to IMDB is for a fun chat on the message boards. Wikipedia covers everything else. Please don't take away this community from us!
