The message boards are a valuable and irreplaceable source of information for older movies, please preserve them! Without the boards I have no use for IMDB, will delete account and app.

Please keep the message boards, more often than not, I find the answers I have regarding films and tv shows. I use IMDb almost exclusively for that reason. I don't want to delete my account because the best feature of the site was removed.

I really don't know why this decision has been made. All I can say is that if this decision has been made, it must have a solid big reason or cause, because these boards were very useful to many persons like me. If I had a question or query, I turned to these boards. Sadly, there is no alternative to these, elsewhere.

I go to imdb multiple times a week, and a big part of that is going to the message boards of individual works and creators. These boards often have informed and thoughtful discussion that is not easily found elsewhere. Social media sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) are not adequate substitutes for various reasons. I would like to continue taking advantage of the communities and discussions on imdb.

The message boards are always the first place I go after watching a new movie. It's a source of invaluable information to me; others thoughts and opinions, people sharing their love of movies. You don't come across many people in the real world that love movies like IMDB users. It's just so much more than a message board to me and I'd be so immensely sad to see it leave.

Going on a film's imdb board after seeing it is something I have always done for more than the past decade. And I mean always. Though I rarely post myself, I love reading other people's insights and discussions. I also always go back to the boards of films I have loved for years, because I like reading how much other people are also affected by those films. Where are we supposed to go now?

It is 100% unfair to take the message board away from your members. Seriously, that would be a blatant slap in the face to all. If you follow through with this, you clearly have zero respect for your members. The time we've spent with you should be honored, not destroyed.

Half the time I visit Imdb is to read their message boards. Yes there are trolls, but I simply overlook their threads... and they are found everywhere on the internet. So I don't blame Imdb for their posts or existence.

Please reconsider your decision to disable the message boards. The sharing of information and opinions is one of my primary reasons for visiting IMDB. Please don't penalize those of us who post respectfully in an effort to get rid of the trolls.

I have been using the boards since 2003, I don't want them to go.
They are easy to talk about the movies and shows we enjoy since I could be on a board for that specific film or show and that is what we talk about.
Getting rid of it is a huge mistake.

Please don't take the message boards away because of the trolls! Most of us enjoy using them to intelligently discuss movies/TV shows. Please reconsider!
