Closing the boards? I am not on Facebook or Twitter or any social media site. I come to these boards to check out discussion on movies...especially older movies that I am rewatching or seeing for the first time. I like to get everyone else's take on it too. And if I have a question, where else can I go to talk about an older movie. And that's not even considering TV shows, where discussion points will pop up daily. Don't let the trolls win

I know there's a lot of trolls on the boards, but I'm willing to ignore them in order to listen to insights and interpretations of movies and TV shows. As an adult, I can make up my own mind. Please keep the IMDB Boards open!

The IMDb Message boards are a place to gain insights and different perspectives on films from people all over the world. To get extra details that aren't in Media interviews or articles. The message boards are not the only reason I use IMDb but it is the main reason. It is the only reason I use it over other movie review sites. Please don't remove them.

Half of the reason I even look at the site is to view and discuss the movie with other people before and/or after I watch a movie. This is part of the whole point of IMDB

These boards have given me a lot of info and insight into my favourite movies and TV shows. I have found out about great new shows via these boards. I spend a good amount of time on the boards. If the boards were to go away, I would visit IMDB only rarely.

Hi IMDB,
The forum here is very different from what you have suggested. People discuss movies which are hard to understand and interpret in their own ways. These discussions cannot take place on social media. PLEASE, DO NOT CLOSE THE IMDB MESSAGE BOARDS!

I use these boards to find out the latest views on shows, gain insight and have a laugh. If the boards go, then there is very little reason to visit IMDB and I will look for alternatives where people can discuss shows/movies. The movie data is available elsewhere, but the chat isn't!

PLEASE KEEP THE BOARDS GOING. I've been an avid IMDB message board user since the early 2000s. This is the only place I go to discuss movies, post my movie questions and to simply swap ideas and comments. Please do not get rid of it!
