The IMDB message boards are a hugely valuable resource as a means of exchanging views about films/TV shows with others across the globe. Shutting them down due to trolls is not the answer, but seemingly an easy solution.

I'm a message board lurker and have been for 10-12 years. Any time I see a movie I go straight to the IMDB message boards to read about it--but never comment. What is the purpose of IMDB without the message boards? To just know the actors of a film?

OMG, you just CAN'T remove this feature. It's the ONLY place to meet other fans of any film/TV show where we can talk, share, and discuss our favorite shows of entertainment.

IMDB boards are a great centralized place to discuss any movie or actor, new or old. I don't think there's anything like it. I'm hoping folks IMDB change their minds and keep this great resource open!

Please do not delete the many year's worth of movie chat and opinions that teh message boards have enabled. At least , please offer an alternative site. Thanks
