IMDb, whoever made the choice to take our voice, the voice of the users who built this site over the years, the thousands of information contributors, be it plot outline, cast members, trivia, member reviews and extensive lists that have been key to helping each of us out, that's what the community was about, the love of film and television and the sharing of our opinions from all over the globe. Most of us movie buffs don't have friends irl that share the same passion or have the same taste or have seen the same films. I had so much respect for this site and I felt very proud to be a part of it in a variety of ways. So many thousands of hours over the years and friends and acquaintances that I've come to know and exchange this and that for whatever film or series that we happen to share a common interest in. Unfortunately since all of the millions of passionate members who are outraged by your "disposable methods", we trusted and believed fully and completely that anchoring our daily lives inside such a large and informative site would be safe for us.
We all trusted you and to do this to us for the sole purpose of CENSORSHIP is something I didn't believe we had to worry about in the year of 2017. If it was a monetary issue I would gladly pay a monthly or annual fee for my full membership, as would the rest of us, but you never asked that's how I know it's truly about CENSORSHIP. Certainly it isn't trolls because if asked there are hundreds of us who gladly take the job without pay to keep them to an absolute minimum, but again you never reached out to us, again signaling CENSORSHIP loud and clear. There is no other excuse for what you are doing. You do in fact realize that we all know you are an AMAZON mouthpiece and you WILL lose serious amounts of PRIME memberships and nobody will pay you for your VOD's anymore correct? IMDb CEO Col Needham is a sock puppet for AMAZON, a company who doesn't want our real unbiased opinions stopping people from buying horrible

The IMDb Message Boards are an important source of information that cannot be found elsewhere. Trolls and negativity can be overlooked, and it is unconscionable when a source of information is deleted due to their actions. By doing so, you are giving in to their game.

I find these boards educational and fun. I love discussing the films and shows I see with like-minded people. I've been a member since 2007, a decade of visiting and enjoyment. Please let them stay.

Please keep the imdb message boards. I regularly login to read the message boards after watching a movie. I've no where to go if they remove it.

Keep the message boards. Your notice indicates the move to social media, but that doesnt replace having a location where commentary is stored, sorted and searchable.

I use the boards to learn new things from other users. There are a lot of negative people for sure, but not the majority. Get rid of the political discussion boards. While I agree with free speech, when it comes to politics most people cannot have a civil conversation without attacking others. That's where your real issue is. Also, why have political forums for a movie and TV database? They have their places but not here.
I have always enjoyed the information gained as well as intriguing conversations I have seen or participated in. The message boards are my favourite part of IMDB, I am shocked that they are going to be shut down and cannot understand the reasoning why as they are used constantly. Please don't get rid of them!!!

Wow, can't believe you might close the IMDB forums. I visit them almost daily and would be super disappointed. I use them when I want to know more about a movie/show or after to see if others understood things differently. Please don't close them!
Please dontn let the insufferable win.
