Please do not shut down the boards, it's the only way to get accurate info on shows & movies, since your listed info is often not correct or updated.

I would gladly pay a fee to keep the boards open. $5-$10 a year to keep the trolls and riff-raff out. I'm an Amazon Prime Member--make that a perk of membership or else charge a fee. People treat things differently when they have to pay. Please don't let the scum ruin this for everyone. I've been a member at IMDB since 2005 and I love it. Please keep the boards open.

Without the message boards there's no use in IMDB anymore. Google can provide all the random answers I need. PEOPLE on the IMDB message boards can provide me with the intellectual higher order thinking skills needed to analyze & fully understand a film. Please don't dumb down our entertainment.

The message boards are the only point of going on iMDb. Full of insights and sometimes the comments help with something in the movie that I didn't quite understand.

Eliminating the IMDB message boards would be a huge loss for the entertainment industry. The collected info relating to older film and TV is invaluable. Trolls can be ignored.

The only reason why I even come to IMDB website or use the app is because of the message boards. I enjoy the discussions that we have on here, and it helps me understand something I have missed. Don't see myself using it much if it is gone.

...and I thought February 20 , 2017 would be just a normal day....i suppose it will now will the day I delete my IMDb account, unless some Patriots-like comeback occurs and the boards win!

Without the message boards IMDB is not terribly useful. Cut the current events and politics stuff, sure (why are they even there???), but not discussion of movies and actors! I'll just go to TCM and say goodbye to IMDB where I've been a member for 17 years.

The boards - all my shows in one place - the main reason I use the site. Sure it's full of great info. But how often does one need to look up a show/film or actor.
