Keep the forums alive. Meaningful movies that provoke real discussions are coming back.

Even with the trolls, the IMDb message boards are an important fan communication channel. The value of IMDb itself will be diminished without them. Don't worry, we can ignore the haters.

I've been a member of IMDB since the late 1990's. I haven't posted in some time but I ALWAYS go to the message boards after watching a movie to look at what other people are saying. Yes, you have people that are just there to get arise out of people but it I've also seen some great discussions. Its very sad to see such a great community get shut down with barely any notice. If they end up not bringing back the forum, I truly hope someone else creates a site similar that fans can visit and discussion their passion for film.

One of my main pleasures in IMDB are the message boards to see what others think of the movie/show I love or hate. IMDB, please don't take that away!!

The message boards are uber important to understanding a film by allowing for informative discussions amongst the audience of TV series and films.

Only reason I am a member is to visit the message board. Very topical and informative. Please don't delete

Without message boards IMDB has a greatly diminished use to the non-industry visitor. All other information (release dates, cast lists, etc. ) can be found from other sources. Discussing viewer theories is a vital aspect of IMDB. Don't bend to trolls and sacrifice your value in doing so.

The message boards are primarily why I go to IMDb. I don't think there are any other sites that can offer what IMDb boards do. Some recommend reddit or other websites, however, they just won't cut it. More popular shows or movies might have a reddit to discuss it but IMDB is the only place where we have nearly every show and movie catalogued with its own message board. There really is no other place to go.

Please keep this unique feature of IMDb as it provides a means of learning what is happening with a production as well as helping others to interact positively about a film or program they are passionate about. Thank you!

Removing IMDB message boards?what a disgrace. I will probably never visit imdb again for I no longer have any reason to. Thank you IMDB you are most certainly the most wretched soul sucking corporate devils out there.

Without the message boards IMDB becomes just like any other reference site. The boards are the only reason I use IMDB. They generate interest as the discussions develop, and many of use them to enhance our enjoyment of the shows and films, especially when dramas cross the Atlantic with the inevitable cuts and misunderstandings. We can identify the trolls and it is easy enough to block them.

The message boards are what keep me coming back to IMDb. They're press release says that the boards' purpose can be fulfilled on social media pages, but comments on Facebook are here and gone within hours. IMDb message board conversations can last months, even years.

Other than logging in to see who played who in a film, the main reason I come to the website is to read the messageboards to find out information and share opinions.

Please keep these open!!! Used them for years and years. Use them several times a week, almost daily. Don't betray us.

I need this to answer questions and give answers. I don't have access to social media.

You're taking away a daily part of my life - who else am I supposed to discuss Dead like Me with?
