Petition to keep the IMDB messageboards going

I visit your website only for the message boards, please keep it.

Basically the only reason I frequent IMDb is to participate in the message boards. Please keep them!

Please reconsider your decision to remove the message boards. They do significantly more good than bad.

10 years ago, I was so affected by a film (Brokeback Mountain) that I searched all over creation and finally found a place to simply.... express myself and untangle the emotions this beautiful movie stirred in me. I implore you to please reconsider disabling the IMDb Message Boards. There is simply not another functioning, cohesive and brotherly/sisterly place to go and have a good discussion or think tank with newly found friends over the films and actors we love and love to discuss. To lose the boards would be a travesty. There is not another outlet like it!! Anywhere!!! Thank you for listening.

I love the message boards. I've been browsing them for a couple of years and was stunned to find just how much information and valuable points of view you can get from them. The message boards are one of the reasons I keep visiting the imdb website and finding awesome movies and interesting details to the different motion pictures. Please, keep the message boards alive and open! Thank you!

Please don't discontinue your message boards. A lot of people like myself don't come here to troll but rather to engage in constructive communication and/or discover more about artists and movies! I have learned so much over the years from my fellow users on these boards.

I love the message boards and I believe they are essential to IMDB users being able to express their opinions and discuss them with others. Film lovers love to talk about films - so let us talk! There has got to be a better solution (to the issue of negative users) than banning it entirely. Thank you

IMDB message board is one of the best forums on the internet today. Why whould amazon.com want to chase users to Facebook?

The message boards are an incredible source of information. It is completely irrational to prevent this exchange of information between movie lovers and damage your website's popularity. All that is needed is moderation of the boards.

The discussion on IMDb is fantastic and has given fans of TV Shows and Movies from around the world a way to connect and talk about them in a way they cannot do otherwise.

Come to the site 90% of the time for the boards, for 100% info and entertainment. There'll be a huge drop in traffic to the site without the boards...

I agree that it is annoying when Message Boards are inhabited by trolls and kids, but for those of us who enjoy discussing films with others as well as being able to pass on information, the option to put someone on your Ignore list makes it tolerable. It's an easy fix to an annoying issue. Please reconsider your decision, as IMDb is my favorite movie site.
