Please keep the boards open. They are are a great way for movie lovers further their enjoyment of a film by discussing the films symbolism (if any), the technical aspects of how it was made, providing/receiving clarification on "what exactly happened" in a confusing scene.

I like the message boards as I like reading what other people think of the movies I like. I have been a member of imdb since 2003 and I think this place would be boring without the message boards.

I am so upset. I'm a lurker on the site and I just love reading people's comments on shows and movies that I love. It's fun. Once they remove discussion boards, I won't be going on the site anymore because there will be no purpose.
