Don't do it. After every film or series I watch I head straight over to IMDB to see what others think or if I see a film and don't quite grasp a part of it there is always someone on the boards who can elaborate. It's a damn shame and I really hope you reconsider.

The imdb message boards is one of the main reasons I'm always on your website. It's always interesting to check out a movie or TV show and see what other people have to say. Your choice to get rid of the message boards is extremely disappointing. Getting rid of the messages in a way is letting the internet trolls win.

I've been on here ever since I couldn't wait for spiderman 3 to come out and wanted to discuss these movies and keep being informed about any new details. I never stopped reading the opinions of others on my favourite movies and tv shows and I can't imagine any other place to do it so easily. I don't want to scroll through a long list of comments under a YouTube video or on a Facebook page. I like this layout and the fact that it's all organised per show/movie. Please keep the boards!

Don't shut it down! I don't use twitter or Facebook. It's such an isolation to people that don't use social media to remove the the message boards.

I have been a member of IMDb since 2002. Only on IMDb's message boards can you find one board connected to one film specifically. There you can see what others have said about the film, get your questions answered or answer some yourself - and a lot more. This is a huge mistake!

The message boards are really the only reason I visit this site. To discuss or get other's thoughts and ideas on what I just watched. I imagine you will lose at least 50% of the normal traffic to this site. I know you will lose mine.
