Petition to keep the IMDB messageboards going

I've been an IMDB member since 2001, and it would be a shame if the message boards that I've frequented over the years would be removed.

While I understand that monitoring the boards takes time and effort to provide both the space for opinion, but "safety" for all movie buffs, there is more value and information sharing that makes the page complete. As a power user, I can't imagine the site without the boards. Thanks for such a great resource!

Keep the IMDb message boards open!

The message boards is what keeps me coming back to imdb! Please don't remove one of the most important features of your website!

The primary reason I access IMDB is to read and contribute to the message boards. Social media does not provide a substitute. Please save the IMDB message boards!

I was shocked to see the message boards are being dicontinued. I find them very useful. I believe this is a bad decision on the part of imdb. I hope they will reconsider.

Imdb message board is always the first place I go after I watch a show or movie.

IMDb message boards - one of best things on internet

The IMDb message board is one of the most important online resources and places of thought exchange concerning movies and tv shows. Keep it going!

I don't write on the message boards but I use it as a means of reviews to gather info about a show or find out opinions about upcoming movies and events that aren't as readily available. I really don't understand its removal and I feel like its kind of suspicious in the kind of oppressive environment being created by our current loathsome government that suddenly something that has been totally benign for the most part is being removed? Freedom of speech in any form should not be taken away simply because it might offend a few people or sometimes go off topic. The timing too is suspicious what with our overly sensitive thumb sucking weeny of a president trying to control everything and everyone. Not cool IMDB, I sincerely doubt you will stay number one in everything assuming you actually are.

Please do not remove this integral part of the website that I've been using for over 20 years.
