The first thing I do after watching a film is head to its IMDb page to see what people have said about it. Also, Twitter blows goats and Facebook is a creepy datamining surveillance operation.

I've been an active participant (BoxOfficePoison) for 15 years. But without the message boards, IMDb will have no value to me, and I'll delete my account.

Even though I don't post often, the message boards at IMDb have been an enormous source of entertainment and education for me. I always peruse the board of every film or tv show I look up, and it's a big reason I use IMDb in the first place.

IMDb message boards are an invaluable resource. If they are discontinued, site usage will decrease significantly.
All of the other information available on IMDb can be found elsewhere on the Internet. It is the combination of film data with the interactive message boards that makes IMDb unique. Please reconsider.

Come on! This isn't an issue of removing an obsolete feature or protecting anyone from harassment. This is just yet another method for squelching public discourse online. Please don't be another contributor to the death of the internet.

IMDB has always been the best outlet for movie lovers to share opinions and ask questions. Every forum will inherently have bad eggs, don't let them spoil this great site.

The message boards are the entire pull to the site for me. I love reading other people's opinions and seeing people discuss. Please keep them. There are interesting posts I can read from as far back as 2004! These need to be kept!

The message boards provide great insight into interpreting films and TV series I watch. The dedicated fans are also a great source of information from past episodes.
Truly sometimes discussions become unproductive, but most people know to stay away and only take the useful parts.

The message boards are a definite perk of the imdv site. Not only are there usually answers to questions I have after watching movies & shows, but also there are often insightful and unusual views which add depth to a viewing experience. It's a grave mistake to remove this feature from the site.

Message Boards is the soul if IMDB and is the main reson I visit IMDB. It provides a great platform for movie lovers to come together and discuss films. This platform is a great way to see movies from different viewpoints. I really hope you reconsider your decision and let the boards prevail.
