Please do consider this hereby request to keep the message boards of IMDB open. It has become part of so many people's lives who like to discuss movies that many of us would definitely feel a significant void if you would choose to abolish the forums over a minority of people who use it negatively. EVERY message board can be used in a negative way but I truly believe there are ways to successfully ignore or sanction the few people who seem to be unjustifiably responsible for this decision that should be reconsidered.

A lot of people read and love the message board even though they might not write something. It´s a big part of the imdb site.

You will kill your site doing this. I know amazon owns your pale butt but if people can complain about movies online, they should be able to take a simple comment about their tastes. Moviepoopshoot is going to be the nickname for this site if you take down the boards and people will just use other ones.

Please keep the boards open. Yes there is a lot of trolls, but there is also some great informations on films, especially older films, where one might have a lot of questions about. I often end up on the IMDB boards after watching a good movie, just to see what people think of it, or maybe to clear some things up that i was confused about while watching the movie.
In the end, shutting down the IMDB boards will be more harmful than useful.

Please keep the boards. Some of us don't do social media, especially now that those sites are so crowded with irrelevant hate and stupidity. Some of us have been following the boards for YEARS and don't want to wade through a bunch of useless junk to discuss one show, episode, character or movie. Trolls can be ignored -- and there are certainly more of them on social media! PLEASE KEEP THE BOARDS!

Message boards are really handy when it comes to finding "really" similar movies, and I'm not talking about google's interpretation of it. Hope to see it working as long as possible.

The IMDB site is my favorite as a huge movie & TV fan and the Community message board are a very important part IMDb. Removing them would be a huge mistake ,why not remove the critics reviews while you're at it it's not like they always have something nice to say and as for the trolls yes i can't stand them but it's very easy to remove them, ignoring someone who trolls with the click of one button on your site and never seeing anything they post again,which is a solution already in place. I don't know if you have moderators it seems you do because I see posts deleted all the time and if it's a matter of not having enough moderators to remove troll content I'm sure there's plenty of trustworthy IMDb members who would gladly help moderate I would even volunteer
You would be hurting IMDb bye doing this to the site probably lose a lot of members possibly including myself so please I hope you reconsider removing the community message boards IMDb just won't be the same without them.

Please, I implore you to keep these message boards open. I love to talk to people about my favorite movies! I am not bothered by Trolls, as I am easily able to block them.
