For every troll post, there was always one that offered actual substance and I would find useful. It was a great place to discuss obscure and lesser known movies, get suggestions for similar ones, or read and contribute to discussions on interpretations for the deeper movies. I feel like a big part of IMDB will be lost when the boards go.

Please don't shut down the message boards. They are an incredible source for all kind of informations and due to them, i've stumbled over very many great movies, which otherwise maybe never have crossed my path.
It's saddening, that they're maybe gone forever. Don't do it! :(

Removing it is stupid--I always go to the messaging boards to see people's opinions on certain movies/tv shows/actors. IMDb claims there are so many other places to go, but having it on the actual page makes it so much easier.

IMDB has been my favorite website since I was a little girl because the moment after finishing a movie or tv show I would hop right on the message boards and take in what everyone else thought. It really is part of the movie watching experience for me. It's such a great experience to hear what others have to say so PLEASE DONT REMOVE THEM!

IMDB forums is something I go to with pleasure, using the "ignore" button is very efficient to prevent problems, there's interesting discussions, insight from some, let us express our opinions and feelings

These message boards are awesome. I enjoy reading about people's views and it's also one of the first places I check before I see a film. It's a great place to have online conversation and make online friends.

I have been watching tons of classic movies over these past few years and as someone who loves to talk about movies and learn more about them, the message boards here have been a huge asset. One of the first things I do after finishing a film is come to imdb and read some of the boards to gain some more insight, depth, and appreciation for these films. To see the boards disappear is heartbreaking. Please, please, please change your minds and keep them going!

Why o why? I look at the message boards daily for about 15 years! Such a great place to talk about movies with likewise people. Such a shame this would end. Please reconsider.

Please, so many people belong to this site. For years they have shared their opinions in the message board. This is such an important part of IMDB as the FAQsection or the ratings.
