So much film information is going to be lost. I learned about so many interesting films from the boards. I'm really sad to lose it.
If it really is a matter of negativity, or even usage, get rid of off topic, get some long time users as volunteer monitors & update the thing to email for replies & stuff like that.

I don't see why they feel like they need to get rid of the feature. I personally go to the message boards on IMDb all the time. It'd feel weird not having it there when its been there for so long

I love the Message Board. I find obscure information that lends to the movie.

Thank you, IMDB, for ignoring your public and not including them in such an important decision. Stop giving in to FB/Twitter ideas and stand your own ground! I do not go to FB or Twitter and have no reason to, so don't think all of the IMDB fans are going to follow you there. There is NO PLACE else for us to go to discuss television shows & movies, and FB & Twit will cause you to lose countless followers. Simply look at the millions of messages on your boards and you will see how many care about the feature/service. Don't leave us out!

The message boards are the best part of IMDB. There is no point to having the website without the message boards.

The best part of IMDB is the boards and being able to discuss movies and shows with other people. If it goes away, so do I! Keep the boards!

I read the IMDB message boards often after watching a film to read varied commentary, While the quality in recent years has waned, IMDBs message boards are nearly unique in their focused discussion of people or productions.

The more immature pages are targeted by trolls. More detaied, verified information for accounts will help weed out a lot of the trolls. Harsher rules also leave the boards for the more serious users. I don't think many will visit IMDb if the boards are gone. We use them often for quick questions and made a lot of friends over the years. We are heartbroken and hope that this can be rectified. Sincerely Jennifer, family and friends

I have next to no interest in IMDB beyond the message boards. Delete them and I may stop visiting your site altogether.

Eevryone doesn't hace access to those social media accounts as you suggest. Whatever happened to an exchange of ideas. Seems you are only worried about profit margins

Why make us go to 6 other websites to look for discussions when it can all be right here with the movie database?
