Petition to keep the IMDB messageboards going

Why do you want to take the best part of the site away...?

The message boards are what keeps IMBD from basically being Wikipedia. The best part of the site!

Love the banter on the message boards.

I've never posted once, but I read them after almost every movie I watch.

This is a place where apart from all things mentioned in all comments one thing which i find super usefull is to find connections between certain things and also to find a minute detail like “which was that song playing in the backgropund in that scene” or “what show was on tv” or “which is that painting” or my fav “which is that movie in which …….” etc....... i cant think of any other place where i can find this info this is 1000 step backwards from amazon its a shame if this billions $ company doesnt have the funds to run and maintain a popular service like this

I love the place i need those to understand the doubt about the movie and where else we can get those different vantage points

I come to the imdb message boards when I have questions about a movie, tv show, actor that I can't find the answer to in the trivia section. I don't use the imdb social media stuff. It's ridiculous to shut this down!!

I enjoy reading the message board, some one in it always adds to my understanding of a movie.

Please do not remove the message boards. I understand the need to police many of the trolls and negative comments and ideally, this could be accomplished. I often learn more about the movie or television show I'm watching by the boards than the trivia or facts.

Please keep the boards.

What a tragic loss

The only reason i go to IMDB is for the message boards and read other users insightful opinions about movies. If the Imdb message boards are gone, there won't be any reason for me to visit Imdb.com. Please let us keep Imdb message boards ill volunteer as a mod to help mod the boards.

The IMDB message boards connect movie lovers with one another and the discussions keep the classic movies alive and in our hearts forever. I don't believe that the importance of being able to share our opinions has been fully understood by the IMDB, so I am requesting that this decision to shut the message board down will be reconsidered.

Remember when Yahoo was bigger than Google? Then they dumped Yahoo chat....
