IMDb is a valuable means of commenting and reading other comments on films and TV programmes, and will be hard to replace. There are trolls but frankly no part of the Internet is free of them. I would like you to reconsider this decision.

I've been on the boards since 1999. It would be a different world without them, and a worse one. There wouldn't be a problem if the boards were moderated. In my opinion, keep the main boards, maybe even pare them down to the most popular, and you could do this without a problem.

I watch older shows and want to discuss them. Sometimes I have questions after a show and these boards were my go to for getting them answered. Facebook does not allow me to search for discussions in this way. I checked to see if Facebook had any discussions on a show I just watched and got zero hits on my search. I love the discussion boards so please reconsider taking them down. I don't have a reason to visit IMDb without them!

The IMDB message boards are categorically organized to make discussion/following easy to navigate. Not so on other social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.), where every topic is thrown together into a giant un-navigable mishmash. Please keep the message boards!

Please, please, please, keep the message board, I believe those people offended by the trolls propably were spoiled brats without limits, don't let a few ruin for the bunch. I believe in Life, we have to create a thick skin to deal with trolls, here, at work, at school, so on so forth...
