For the past decade, possibly more, I've always immediately checked the IMDB forum after viewing a film or tv show. There is often insightful discussion about plots, themes, and subtle nuances I would have never picked up on. Oftentimes, I watch old or under-the-radar films where I'd never be able to discuss with anyone else except IMDB. What a loss if you take away this feature.

The boards are what makes IMDB unique. We've got plenty of wikis as it is. I've been a member for over a decade now and used IMDB for years prior to registering. I can't remember a day I haven't gone on the forums at least once or twice. Getting rid of the boards would be a first step into what I'm certain will be an end for IMDB. It would be a genuine shame.

I could even understand for you to limit or reduce the Boards related to (Industry) off-topic matters, like "Politics" and many more... BUT all Boards of Movies, Series, and Moviemakers of all kind, but primarily Actors, Directors, Writers, Composers and so many more... ARE ESSENTIAL TO BE THERE.
Is not only for the people who write in those boards, but for the millions around the globe who use to read them, looking for information and multiple points of view.
There are hundred of millions who use the site regularly for readind not only the main pages of movies or stars, but ALSO THE CORRESPONDENT BOARDS of them.
Please, reconsider this nonsense policy, and KEEP THE BOARDS!

I enjoy reading discussions on movies on the message boards when I finished a movie. Whenever I had questions about the movies, I could find them answered in the boards.

The message boards are the only reason I kept coming back to imdb instead of the other similar websites. If the message boards will indeed be removed, I'll find another place to visit. This website would not be the same without the boards.

Dear Reader,
The discussion groups are literally the only reason I visit IMDB. There isn't any other place with easy to find discussions on a wide variety of films and TV shows.
It is world onto its own!
