Don't close it. It what makes IMDB interest. And it's also what makes movies and TV interesting by having discussions (or read discussions) around what we are seing. It cannot definitely be the same on FB or anywhere else.

I don't comment on the boards but read them after watching movies and am always enlightened by it. The trolls can be ignored; the users who create useful dialogue are worth so much more.

Please keep! It's a really old message board which covers everything. More than 10 years of discussions, that are still valuable, will get lost. And the discussions are still interesting since the movies and stars are timeless.

Save the message boards! I go to them every time I watch a film, to check out other people's views and discussions. Social media will not cater for this in the same way. The message boards are one of the most useful features of the site.

Why would IMDB delete the message board is beyond me?!?! The message board is the main reason I log on to IMDB. I love reading the messages from other people. I love reading about other people's opinions on films or tv. It makes understand the show better. Please do NOT DELETE the message board. If you do..... I will no longer log on. Please, reconsider your choice!!!!!!

I believe these message boards are the best outlet for fans of film and television to discuss their favorite pastimes. It is simply impossible for them to be replaced bu Facebook as everything else seems to be these days. For one, I do not use that social platform and have no intention to start.
If these message boards vanish, I believe that IMDB will cease to be a relevant source of accurate news and opinion on film and TV and will soon vanish along with them. That would be a great loss.
