The boards are a major reason I come to imdb at all. Silencing our voices is not the answer. Please leave the boards open.

This is devastating. I've used IMDb for over 15 years , and the message boards for over 13. It is great reference resource that is being cast aside . Kindly reconsider .

I won't have a need to visit IMDB if the message boards are gone. I come to read the discussions. All the other information provided is easily found in other places.

Don't shut these boards down because of some idiots. Let the members who have been here for over 5 years patrol the boards. Pay them if you want, but don't shut down the boards!

Even though I am not a member, I've been going on the message boards for years. I enjoy reading people's comments, seeing if they feel he same as I, watching a show or movie by recommendations, etc. I makes no sense to do away with the message. Please reconsider.

The message boards are the main reason why I even visit IMDb. I hate the idea of losing such a great place where I can learn of, discuss, and share opinions and information about various movies and TV shows in a way I can't anywhere elsewhere.

I understand that IMDb has many platforms such as Facebook to post comments but none are the same as the timeless message boards. Please this makes no sense, I've been a member for years just like everybody else here. Don't take away a huge part of what you offer.

Why? There is no logical reason to take away this feature. Though i have barely ever posted, i love to go through and read the different theories and interpretations, after watching a film. I like amazon (prime member here) but they will not be forgiven for ruining imdb. Time to look elsewhere, I suppose. Some other site will, no doubt, emerge and fill the gap.

IMDb is probably the app I use the most bc I will stop watching something and go to IMDb to read information. Most of it is in the message boards.

I've met some amazing friends and some total jerks on these message boards. It's a total mistake to do away with the boards. Why not have some long time members who are established help monitor for trolls for a nominal fee? I'd be up for it. It's not that hard. Don't ruin this because of some idiots. Please.

This is akin to media censorship. Movie/actor/director discussions are arguably the most valuable aspect of the site and my main reason for visiting over the past decade. I will stop using imdb immediately if this goes ahead, and I hope others do the same. I will not be giving any traffic to this site out of principle, as well as deleting the iphone app. This is an unbelievably disgusting and nonsensical decision by the company, and I know the site will deservedly suffer from this shocking move.
