After I finish watching a film/show I love to check the IMDB boards to see peoples opinions/ discussions. Dont get rid of it!

If IMDB does in fact eliminate the message boards, it will go down as one of the worst decisions in history. Enough said.

The IMDb boards are vital to my and many, many other people's appreciation and understanding of film, TV and all things cinematic. After almost 20 years and endless long hours following other people's thoughts, insights, questions and discussions (and occasionally contributing my own), I can only conclude: Regardless of the negative aspects, the IMDb forum is absolutely irreplacable.

The IMDb message boards are what makes IMDb.com the amazing site it is. I could use Wikipedia but choose IMDb because I want to user reviews and the ability to have discussions. Please reconsider closing these boards.

The message boards are the chief reason I use IMDb, I can look up anything on Wikepedia, it's my community of film fans that I enjoy.

Thsee message boards are where I get my info about movies. Facebook and those others won't give me the ability to look up a particular movie. I will now have to find a new source and leave imdb behind

The main reason I go to IMDB is because of the message boards. You learn so much more about the actors or movies in the boards.

Big mistake. One of the main reasons I visit. It gets rude sometimes, but it's still a good source of info and discourse.
