I use this tool every day to understand films and tv; to discuss shows my firends are not watching;to see what others think of shows I haven't watched. No replacement out there. do not discontinue.

I love the IMDB message board and refer to it more than the reviews. Please don't stop....

There is no place quite like this anywhere on the web. I want to keep reading people's opinions on anything fandom-related in one place. The message boards are the only reason I still visit imdb.

The Internet Movie Database Message Boards are a valuable and irreplaceable resource preserving years of thoughts, memories, and emotions! So now the heartless landlords are giving the users who took years of their own priceless time and effort to create this beautiful community a lousy FEW DAYS to archive EVERYTHING and then it's bye-bye!? The list of TITLES ONLY of threads in which I have posted runs FIVE PAGES, at 25 titles per page! In other words, 125 posts per year! Multiply that by the time I've been a member, 17 years this month, and it comes to 2,125 posts, assuming I consistently made the same amount and did not make MORE some years! And yet these thoughtless fools seemingly believe all their contributors of many years' standing have nothing better to do than to DROP THEIR WHOLE LIVES to spend DAYS opening THOUSANDS of threads, copying and pasting the contents of each post, (many of which will make no sense out of context, having been made in response to others), find some other site, and copy and paste all that content BACK IN? Are they just coldhearted and sadistic or ABSOLUTELY INSANE??? Please don't add any more grief and frustration to this already bleak and utterly discouraging world! Thank you.

These are the only reason I visit IMDB anymore. I can get the other information I care about on Wikipedia.

I hardly ever post on the message boards, but I do always check them out with movies I'm interested in. Whether it is to gain more insight in a certain aspect of the movie or just to see what others think of the movie in discussions, that are more often than one would think on a decent level. All of this to be found in one convenient page per movie. Please don't leave this behind.

Please let IMdB Message Boards live! I have used it regularly for over 14 years and found it very useful despite the trolling and some hate speech. The latter can be taken care of without ditching the whole Message Board utility! It's an overall satisfactory experience despite what's been said.

The messageborads are one of the main reasons I spend so much time on IMDB. If they are shut down IMDB loses a big part of what made it so interesting in the first place.

I am not a frequent poster on the IMDB boards, but go to them usually at least several times a week. I find the information and opinions on the IMDB forums is often better than what is posted on the rest of the site. Will I still go to IMDB? Probably, some... but FAR less than I have. This is a TERRIBLE decision on IMDB's part, and will probably lead to a massive decline in their traffic.

I have been on IMDb for years and I love going on the boards while I watch classic TV and movies. The entire point of the site is to use the boards. Why can't anything worthwhile stay? Not everything is better on social media. I love reading older threads too. I can't believe all the great things on the message boards will be gone...it is a crying shame...a complete horror really.

I almost always went to your messageboard after watching a movie to see what other people thought of it or of certain aspects of it. Reviews and user reviews are not as interesting to me. I just checked your facebook page and there is no way it can replace your messageboard, it's laughable to pretend it could. In the 10-15 years i've used your website it was never a problem to avoid trolls either (maybe it's because i don't watch transformers and other stupid movies?). This decision makes no sense. I will never have any interest in using your website ever again after February 20th unfortunatly. Hopefully you will reconsider this decision.
