Closing the message boards at IMDB is a rash and poor decision. The decision has no purpose and will only be a monumental disservice to the millions of IMDB users in the community. IMDB has decided to punish all for the crimes of very few. Overkill and unfair.

The real reason for shutting the forums down, is probably that the large media companies doesn't want the publics "free" opinions so visible...

The message boards are a place for movie enthusiasts to discuss movies, and as such, should be kept. Many times, after viewing a movie, I went there to view other peoples theories often and will continue to do so.

Please keep the boards open. They are a great source of information and a way for the IMDB community to meet and stay in contact with one another. And most importantly, a source to share ones passion in the art of movie making with like minded people. Keep the boards alive.
