The only reason I ever come to IMDB is the message boards. If they are eliminated I guarantee you won't see me again.

Would imagine your site will take a 50% hit. Even without years of posting I always came to site to see what others thought of movie. Now many threads do go off course and could use some moderators. I am sure many long time users qwould voilunteer to help police the boards and keep them on track and topic appropriate.

I have been a imdb member since 2002 and I strongly disagree with the decision to close the message boards.

Please keep the message boards. It's a great way for fans of movies and tv shows to discuss together and it is the only website I know of that has this feature for fans.

The imdb boards are a very important part of the site experience. Without it the site lost part of its charm.

I'm shocked and saddened that you are removing the message boards. Basically you are pretty much telling me to no longer visit IMDb. I've been a member since 2004 and read or post on the message boards on a daily basis. If your goal was to alienate the most loyal and frequent visitors to IMDb I think you have done so. I can read a cast list anywhere; I came here for the discussion. Once that is gone I will have no reason to frequent your site anymore. RIP IMDb.

Just add up/downvotes to comments, troll problem solved. No need to delete everything just for a few bad comments.

Closing IMDB boards - the worst idea I heard about this year. What is the purpose of it? Killing the website? Don't make us go to social media for commenting, it's pathetic. Not everyone is keen on wasting time on social media!

IMDB stands to lose most if not all of their site traffic behind this colossal blunder.

I've been brought up on the boards. Everything I've ever learned was from the boards. Removing the boards will mean everything I'm am or ever will be was for naught. Please don't take away my boards

A good place to disscussion of weird/non blockbuster movies, shutting it off is a mistake, please don't go on with it!

Please do not destroy an invaluable cultural resource which millions of good people took time and effort to create over thirty years just to save the pittance it would take to hire moderators! Thank you.

The message boards are essential to the IMDB experience, what sets the site apart. Much valuable info is contained within them, which may not be found elsewhere. I think IMDB is making a poor decision, as well as a slap in the face to users by shutting them down. You should really reconsider..

The forums are absolutely a vital part of the IMDb experience, and their loss would absolutely be a blow to every movie lover out there that relies on the ability to exchange with like-minded - or dissenting - others on the subject of any given movie.
