I can't imagine how it will be like not to have my message boards time after I watch a movie. I have been doing it for 14 years.
This seems like a crazy nightmare.

I literally use rotten tomatoes for everything movie related. I use them to look at reviews, movie casts, etc. Literally, the message boards are the only reason I use IMDb anymore.

The ability to discuss movies is the only advantage IMDB has on RT. No reason to use IMDB at all if I can get all the basic information and better comprehensive reviews from another site.

The IMDb message boards are the only real reason I stick with the website -- only other use I have for it is to keep track of what I watch and want to watch. Please don't delete the boards, they are what make the site great. Lovers of film can come together to talk and discuss film, sharing their views and insights -- it's all gold. On top of that we get to meet new people and make friends. Please, there's no other site that offers this, so please don't shut the boards down. If they get shut down, this wonderful community will have no other place to go. And on top of that, we'll lose all of the wonderful boards posted over the years!

The IMDb message boards are a wonderful resource to discuss movies and tv shows. Can't find that anywhere else, especially when it comes to old or foreign movies. Why don't you employ moderators to control trolls etc? To lose the message boards....there's no reason to go back to IMDB at all. I can find all that other info on Wikipedia.

Message boards are the most informative part of IMDb. It is my go-to area for independent movies and I've always found it helpful and informative. Closing it because of trolls is tantamount to closing a highway because of a few bad drivers.

Imdb, you may already be final in your decision to delete the message boards from your site. But please hear us out, you may not realize it, but your boards are internet history. A living document of film discussion, all thrown away? Is it worth it?
I know there are some trolls, as there are in all sites, but I assure the vast majority of movies always had discussions going on that benefited everyone and was part of what made imdb so great!
I hope you will reconsider.
