Mrs.D ‘Anna changed my life drastically in the dance world and in my personal life! this lady has given me the strength and motivation to follow through with what I start with ! To also finish strong and to not let anyone tell you, you CAN’T do things ! She is one of the reasons why the Blake Dance Dept is as successful as it is!

Robert needa start growing brains instead of chins. Like damn if he started gaining intelligence like he gains weight he’d be smarter than Einstein. Maybe instead of firing Mrs.D’Anna he should take one of her classes so he can stop huffing and puffing after taking 5 steps.

Listen to your students- “Ms. D'Anna is the reason that students come back each year to participate in the dance department.”
I can only hope that schools will listen, and consider what (or whom) keeps students motivated to learn and participate.

This is my first year having Mrs. Danna as a teacher. She is such a passionate person and supports all of her students. She encouraged me to keep dancing and try out for dance company next year. She made me feel so comfortable and really encourages me to be the best dancer I can be. Please stop trying to get rid of the most important and influential teachers at Blake.

This is an absolute disgrace. I can not fathom how the thought of getting rid of Mrs.D’Anna ever came across as a good idea in someone’s eyes. Mrs.D’Anna is my favorite teacher out of all teachers at Blake High School. I feel most comfortable with Mrs.D’Anna vs any other teacher at Blake. I learn a lot from her. Not just dance. I learn valuable life lessons from her. She teaches me about real life outside of high school. Mrs.D’Anna is my friend. I know she cares about me. I love sitting with her and my other friends at lunch where we can just talk and enjoy ourselves. Mrs.D’Anna is the heart and soul of Blake Dance. I’ve been in her class for 2 years now and I love her to death. I’m even supposed to take Dance Company at Blake next year with her. I can guarantee you that I will withdraw from Dance Company if Mrs.D’Anna is fired. Mrs.D’Anna creates beautiful choreography and is a beautiful inside and out. There are so many bad teachers at Blake but you want to get rid of someone people actually like? Someone who actually cares about children and their well being. This is a complete and utter joke. I will not stand for this and I hope others don’t either. I’m extremely upset. #dancewithdanna

First off- who the hell thought this was okay. Come talk to me.
I’m a teacher who was greatly impacted by Mrs. D throughout high school. The dance program at this “arts” high school will not survive without her. And transferring someone from a school in the middle of their amazing career against their will is not okay.

Ms. D'Anna is the dance department without her it would not be what it is today. She has impacted my life and made my four years at Blake the best. Ms. D'Anna pushed me to work harder and made me a stronger and more confident dancer. Without her the department would not be what it is today. I can not thank her enough for what she has done for me and my friends. Ms. D'Anna needs to stay and positively impact the next generation of students that walk into the Blake dance department.

Mrs. D’Anna was my dance teacher for a year and a half and I loved her! She taught me to not think as I dance just feel it. Now dance is my favorite thing to do!

Its really a disgrace that funding is being cut in order to boltser funding for a program that does not have the capabilities to really provide career options post high school. While yes, having a robust sports program is great, it should not come at the expense of cutting the arts program.

I started dance this year at blake and while Ms. D'Anna isn't my teacher, I understand how important she is to the Dance Program at Blake. Without her, dance wouldn't be the same and our dance company, poms, tap, and advanced jazz classes would be cut. We need Ms. D'Anna to stay.

Ms. D’anna has taught me so much about dance. I am now dancing for a collegiate team who has won 17x nationally and would not have made it this far without dance training from her. She is the foundation of Blake Poms that was so important to me and many others and should be recognized for this!
