Cutting the arts doesn't help things! The arts give people a place to be and can really change someone's life. Keep the program!!

With Ms. D'Anna, it is never just a dance class. She is one of those rare teachers whose lessons transcend the confines of a classroom (or in this case, a dance studio) and truly prepare us for life. Please, Blake administration and MCPS, open your eyes and realize the tremendous positive impact she has at Blake.

What are they thinking. Mrs. D was the best teacher i had at Blake. She kept me on my toes in her class because she expected do much from me. I loved her. & still do to this day. Blake they're plenty you can rid the school of, but Mrs. D isn't one of them

Mrs. D’Anna is too great of a teacher to let her go. She connects with all of her students and makes each of them feel important. She gives each and everyone one of her students advice and made all of us feel comfortable. Unlike most teachers at Blake, Mrs. D’Anna would listen and understand her students. She looked out for each and everyone of us. Her door was always open for any student that needed her, even if it was a personal issue. Mrs. D’anna was always there. I’m so grateful that I had her as my dance teacher. I grew as a person in her class. I had no confidence until I had her as my teacher. That’s what she does. She doesn’t just teach dance. She teaches her students how to love and respect themselves as well. There’s so much that she has to offer and I believe all the students at Blake need her there. It’s sad to even hear that she’s being pushed out. She basically built the dance department up from the ground. She’s done so much for Blake in the 15 YEARS that she’s been there . It’s ridiculous that Blake is really cutting the ONLY actual dance teacher out of the dance program. She’s the most qualified person for the position. There’s no replacing Mrs. D’anna, a teacher we ALL love.
