My daughter trains with a pre-professional dance school. She was hesitant to take dance at Blake because she wasn’t sure of the quality. Then she saw Ms. D’Anna’s end of the year program and was so impressed. So she auditioned. This year she has been in the Dance Company and loves it.

Mrs. D'Anna has clearly made such a positive impact on her students. She is a talented, passionate and caring teacher. I hope this decision will be reconsidered.

Ms. D has been very instrumental in the life of my daughter who is now 22. My daughter Tydryn is now dancing in LA with different artist and very successful. She cares about her students and is a VERY GOOD Teacher/Instructor.

Is Blake trying to pair down its arts program or something because that's definitely a deciding factor in a large portion of the student bodies attending that school at all. Getting rid of Mrs. D'Anna devalues blakes prestgious dance program which is an all around loss.... so I'm like where were you even thinking here?????

Saddens my heart to see my dance teacher of 13+ years being driven away from a space that is in desperate need of creativity. We love you Mrs. D’anna and we aren’t going to let you go- Blake alumna class of ‘15

Stop trying to take some of the only teachers that cared enough to try to make a difference in students lives. These teachers are the reasons alumni go back to visit. You move them, you can say good bye to alumni as well as future students who may have been looking to go to a music and arts oriented school.

When I think back on my years at JBHS, Danielle D’Anna and the Pom Squad are my first and most special memories! All current and future dance students deserve the opportunity to work and learn under her!

I remember Ms. D’Anna from when I attended Blake many years ago and know what a great impact she’s had on some of my friends who were in POMS.

It makes no sense to me why the teacher that teaches full-time dance, in all different styles would be transferred and you would keep a part time teacher. This is an outrage for an arts signature school.

Why remove great arts teachers from a signature school of the arts?!?!?

Ms. D’ Anna was my daughters pom coach and was such a great roll model for her. Now my granddaughter is taking dance classes from her we were so excited to see she was still there, it would be so sad for her to no longer be a part of the Blake family.

I am a former student of Mrs. D’Anna. She is an immensely talented, generous, and hardworking teacher who had a tremendous positive impact on my life and in the career I would go on to pursue.

I have witnessed this woman change lives with my own eyes. I have experienced
her integrity and unbridled love for her students first hand. This is a loss for Blake High School and a slight to the legacy of the great Carole Goodman.

She is the best dance teacher ever! I’ve known her since the 90’s. Any place would be lucky to have her!
