Mr.Eising has immersed me in music and taught me so much about music along with work ethic. Not only is he the best music teacher I’ve had but he is one of the best if not the best teachers I’ve personally ever had, in saying that I’m sure I’m speaking for many others. Taking him out of blake is a bad idea.

Jon Eising is the heart and soul of the music community at JHBHS. As a former student who worked with and was inspired by Mr. Eising for all 4 years at Blake, I promise that removing him from this school would be a massive mistake.

Removing Mr Eising from Blake is a terrible decision. He is the kind of dedicated and passionate teacher I want teaching my daughter.

Mr Eising is one of the best educators at Blake period. To force him to leave a program he helped built and continue to grow, to make him leave an ARTS SCHOOL is a disgrace. Find a way to fix this mcps. You owe it to the students, alumni and parents to do so.

This is a music reach that should remain in the school. our children are suffering head injuries as a result of our football programs, no cuts there, but you will cut a teacher to a program that has enlighten and inspired our children for many year, this make not sense!

Mr. Eising was the only teacher I had all 4 years of high school who impacted my life so much. He made music fun and challenging allowing his students to push their limits. This is such an outrage that Blake & MCPS is letting him go from the school where he has built such a phenomenal music community. He has taught all of my siblings and has made such a connection with my entire family. How is it even an option to let go of him? He has taken Blake’s music program above and beyond greatness.

Jon Eising has made significant contributions to the Blake community, the East MoCo community, and my family. I hope that MCPS relents on it's capricious decision to involuntarily transfer Jon from Blake.

Mr. Eising was an integral part of my education and music education when I was a student at James Hubert Blake high school. In classes he has always had a good expertise and a confidant way of being able to lead our rehearsals and band without a temper and to the point where he gained the respect of many students from all different backgrounds. As a music and arts magnet school, Blake will be losing one of its finest and most important teachers in my opinion. Even to this day, 7 years out of high school, I cannot imagine my music education without him. He helped shape me and many other students into better musicians, and more importantly, better people.

I knew Mr. Eising since I was 9 years old when he taught my older brothers band and percussion class. He impacted my whole family with music. Because of him I didn’t give up on playing the violin in high school because it was the one class I looked forward too knowing I was going to be welcomed into. All the trophy’s or awards Blake has gotten is due to Mr. Eisisng, I can guarantee you that If you look at the trophy case you will not see any awards or trophies from any other program. Mr. Eising is one of those teachers that never gives up on his students and actually takes the time to build a relationship with his students, and wants to see them succeed in life beyond high school. He pushed your learning abilities with harder musics To help you grow and improve yourself. At festivals he would always give us hard music to show our full potential and we would always walk out with 1’s (a 1 is the highest score you can get). It is not fair to let go of Mr. Eising because he has done more than enough for the music program.

Releasing Jon Eising from Blake High School is literally one of the worst decisions I have ever heard!! My son just graduated and went to one of the best music business schools in the country largely in part due to Jon Eising! Do the right thing and reverse this very bad decision.

What kind of world do we live in when the band director of the signature school for the arts is dismissed? Do the right thing MCPS.
