Petition to keep Mr. Eising at James Hubert Blake HS

Even if i don’t go to blake I hope Mr.Eising stays at blake.

At a signature music school we need people like Mr. Eising. He understands the kind standard that Blake has always upheld when it comes to the Arts.

I support Jon Eisner staying at Blake HS. His reputation speaks for itself.

Mr. Eising is an amazing and irreplaceable teacher who made my 4 years of music at Eubie Blake HS a truly wonderful and enriching experience. Blake is his home and shouldn't be taken away from him--- he helped to build this program from the ground up. Blake will be at a devastating loss if he is forced to leave. Let him stay, the students need him.

Can anyone tell us why the ARTS & Humanities school is cutting faculty from the music program and not, say, sports or some other program that is not key to the signature programs of the school? The Arts are why we are attending Blake and if this faculty member is gone, then I'm quite sure the remaining ONE instrumental music person will not be able to sustain six large ensembles, a marching band, county and state festival competitions, all extra curricular music performances, TriM the music honors society, the Disney performance trip, and who knows how many more things Mr. Eising teaches at Blake? What that means is, whether there is another faculty member remaining there or not, my child will suffer limited arts opportunities at the Arts School. Low enrollment for a single class or not, if he is gone, all our kids will suffer and the existing music opportunities will be limited. This is unacceptable. Change this decision, now.

He deserves to stay at Blake! All the students love him and all the students will dearly miss him if he left

He is the best music teacher

I graduated with the class of '09 and although I was never an actual student of Mr. Eising, he was an integral member of the nurturing environment that everyone who was involved with choir, band, or the stage company benefitted from. I attribute everything thing I have become to the group of teachers that worked in that hallway. Mr. Eising, Mr. Damron, Mrs. Letcher, Mr. Dunn, Mr. Ovington, and Mr. D'anna cultivated an environment that allowed the students to develop their artistic abilities. That such a cornerstone of the Music program is being forced to leave is disheartening and I know that Blake and the students who go there will suffer from this far more than Mr. Eising will.

Mr. Eising is an integral part of the music program at Blake. Removing him will be a mistake, as he has instilled a love of music in the many students he has interacted with through his years at Blake.

Let’s do what’s right for the students!
