He is a great music teacher, I think is good for him to stay at Blake high school

Hello, I’m a parent of a child enrolling in Jame H. Blake high school’s music program. And this letter is to request your support for Mr. Jonathan Eising, the head of Blake music department, and his continued tenure at Blake. Mr. Eising has dedicated past 15 years to numerous aspiring young musicians at Blake with his strong leadership and talent unmatched by few in the county. Their music program has inspired not only kids who are involved but all of us parents as well for years. Even our 13-year son - aspiring percussionist - graduating class of White Oak middle is excited about the opportunity of joining the Blake Music program under Mr. Eising’s leadership in the coming fall; This grave news would undoubtedly tame the excitement in him. I do not believe Blake is anywhere near the top tier regarding the amount of yearly funding and general academic performance levels compared to other more affluent schools around the county within the MCPS. However, Blake’s music program has been and still does outperform others mainly due to this one teacher’s unmatched leadership, dedication, and the keen sense of presence in the school and the Music department. Please do not take this one thing away from these kids; Kids at Blake deserve Mr. Eising’s continued presence. Please kindly reconsider. Sincerely, Kay Kim, A parent

As a concerned Montgomery county resident, a parent to high school age teens, I support this petition. I have friends whose kids attend Blake and absolutely love Mr. Eising and all of the amazing work he has done for the music department and students.

Mr. Eising not only made my experience at Blake amazing as a student in band, but as a whole. He was a great golf coach and played a big role in my growth as a student over the course of my 4 years at Blake. He means a lot to the Blake community and the Blake community means a lot to him and he deserves to keep teaching music to current and future students at Blake.

I’m a 2008 BHS graduate and Mr. Eising was integral to my overall learning. Had it not been for him and the music department, I would not have thrived in high school, college, or in the real world. Mr. Eising MUST return to Blake.

Mr. Eising has dedicated his heart and soul to the Blake music program for over a decade. He has created a safe place for students from all backgrounds to practice leadership, express themselves musically, and excel academically as evidenced by their many awards, scholarships, and recognitions. He has been an anchor for many generations of students through their personal and community highs and lows.

Mr. Eising was a good teacher to me and many other students at Blake. I see no reason why he should leave. The school system should reconsider

Without Mr. Eising's efforts and dedication to Blake's music dept for the past 14 years, it wouldn't be the amazing program that it is today.

Music ed is so important and should not be cut or downstaffed

Mr. Eising was PARAMOUNT to my career as an artist and musician. Without him at Blake, the signature arts program will suffer deeply.
