I know Mr. Eising is a valued member of the faculty who is making a difference in the lives of his students. Please find a way to keep him on at Blake.

Yes 100% He must stay at Blake, He must also remain in the title he now holds. If he needs a higher credentials to hold the post BLAKE do it!

To Whom it May Concern: Jon Eising is a wonderful, dedicated music teacher at Blake High School. I have attended concerts at Blake to support students from my church. The quality of the musical performances at Blake are top notch. I could see how proud he was of his students and how they interacted with him when 10 students played with one of the service bands in performance at Blake a few years ago. I have seen the energy he gives to his students’ performances. He reminds me of my high school band director, who I believe played a major role in molding my life, even beyond music. I believe that teachers play a huge role in molding their students, not just in their subject, but in how they approach life. Mr. Eising’s 14 years building the instrumental music program of a “Signature School for Fine Arts & Humanities” and the accomplishments and appreciation of his students and parents attests to his dedication to the program and to building better students. His response after the loss of two students to suicide similarly shows his dedication. It would be a shame to lose such an accomplished and dedicated teacher by the school. Please reconsider the decision to involuntarily transfer him. Paul A. Van Akkeren

Mr. Eising is a dedicated, talented musical leader at Blake High School. Losing him would be a disaster to the instrumental program.

Please keep Jon Eising at James Hubert Blake High School for the sake of the students and the school. Mr. Eising is not only a talented teacher-my wife and I have witnessed first hand that he is a father figure to many of the students. He is loved by students and parents.

Blake is an art and music school. Please keep our amazing art and music teachers.

Mr. Eising is an essential part of the culture of Blake HS and the band there. This is not in the interest of any students. Please reconsider this decision. He was a big part of my time at Blake HS.

Mr. Eising is an amazing teacher and should be allowed to continue to be an amazing band director at James Hubert Blake high school. When I started Blake as a freshman in 2009 I really wanted to learn to play drums. After my first day at class I wanted to give up because I thought I would never be able to become a good musician. Mr. Eising helped me all 4 years of high school, and even after I graduated. Now I am a very talented drummer, I've won awards, I'm in a band, give lessons, and am releasing music as well as a tour this summer. None of these accomplishments would be possible for me if not for Mr. Eising. Blake needs teachers like Mr. Eising. Mr. Eising has changed the lives of myself and many other young musicians out there, and it would be a shame to let that go.

I would assume if teachers were kept according to talent that Mr. Eising would not be one to have to leave Blake. He is an excellent teacher and deserves to be allowed to continue his excellent work at Blake. The students deserve it. Thank you.

As a signature school for the arts and humanities it's in bad taste for administration to even consider removing these teachers. Not a good look for Blake.

It's unfortunate that a Signature Arts school has to look to its Arts staff for cutting positions. Please reconsider keeping Mr. Eising, who is instrumental to the success of Blake's Arts Program.

Mr. Eising has an amazing love of music that he shares with the kids. The school is a music and arts school which you are ripping apart.

Mr. Eising needs to stay at Blake full time for two reasons: to ensure the continuation of Arts Signature designation of Blake and to keep a key leader in place. Mr. Eising is a highly valued and talented music teach, but more than that, he is a positive influence and role model not just for the musicians he works with but for the entire student body.

My son's involvement with the Arts at Blake was essential to creating the well rounded college student that he is today. Blake is known for it signature program and would risk that identity if Mr. Eising and the position is downgraded.

Blake is a Signature Arts school. We need to retain our good teachers to grow and showcase our music program. Mr Eising has developed musicians that STARTED playing in high school because he created the opportunity for them. Music makes students well rounded. We need to keep our Arts Program intact.

Blake’s music department is what makes Blake Blake. How could you possibly get rid of such an important person in Blake’s school life?!
