Damn this new principle is a whole damn joke. Instead of firing Eising maybe he should resign instead because he clearly doesn’t have enough competence for the position he’s in. #risingforeising

Cutting Mr. Eising and the Blake Music Program undermines the best of what the school offers.

My daughter is very much looking forward to band next year with Mr. Eising. After participating in Marching Band this year, she feels comfortable transitioning to high school in large part because she already feels that she has people looking out for her, people like Jon Eising. Mr. Eising is a fantastic teacher, musician, and person, the thought of Blake Music without him is unfathomable. The thought of allowing an MCPS Signature Arts Program to lose an educator of this caliber is unconscionable.

I am a freshman in the concert orchestra, and Mr. Eising has been so welcoming to me this year. I remember having gone to a drumline competition and the next day at school, Mr. Eising came up to me to thank me for supporting them...meaning he took the time to remember me and acknowledge despite our limited interaction. Mr. Eising has subbed for our orchestra class a few times and has delivered incredibly inspirational speeches that have made me feel better about myself and my musical abilities. I was drawn to Blake because of teachers like Mr. Eising. If he was forced to leave because of an involuntary transfer, it would not only be a shame for the Blake music program, but for the entire Blake community. I implore you to reconsider this decision.

Mr. Eising is one of the most dedicated teachers I've ever met. Why are we continuing to cut the Arts program from the Signature Arts School in Montgomery County?

To cut the music program at the expense of a tremendous program and teacher such as Mr. Eising is shameful and truly a loss to the Blake community.

Mr. Eising was a phenomenal music teacher. He looked out for me when i was unable to do marching band. He has a passion for music and his students. I graduated going on 8 years ago and it’s very rare that i tell a high school without mentioning band and Mr. Eising.

I don’t know him that well, but the few times I’ve talked with him, he’s very nice and I know he’s made such an impact on us. I just don’t know what we would do without him.
