Incredibly short-sighted. Kids need MORE music, not less. The research is there. MoCo claims to be a world-class school system. How can that be if you are moving veteran, successful teachers who have proven 14 times over, their value to their community?

Mr Eising gave me the opportunity to play with the seniors juniors and he has taught me things i couldn’t do on my instrument

Mr. Eising was my music teacher for four years. If it wasn't for him, I would not have the confidence I now have to play in front of people. The skills I have learned because of Mr. Eising have helped me in all aspects of life. I was looking forward for my three younger brothers to be taught by this magnificent man. He has been the lifeblood of the music program at Blake (a supposed signature arts school) for over a decade. Do not remove the lifeblood.

Mr. Eising was the reason I signed up to take instrumental music next year. His reputation is so well known, that it’s outrageous to fire him. If students and parents alike are coming together to petition his removal, it is only right to reconsider the situation.

As a parent of a 2012 music grad that went on to graduate college as a music Ed major and plans to teach high school music, Jon was a major influence in his life and he currently teaches my 10 grad daughter. My kids are very much who they are today because of Jon. My current 6 grader is already looking forward to be educated by Jon. His love for music and the kids that he teaches is unmeasurable.

Our family is very upset that Mr.Eising got transferred to a different school. He’s very talented and he dedicates his time and effort for our daughter and the rest of the music department. We don’t know what we can do without him with the Disney trip coming up in one and a half week.
