Did you Know?
Some UL 2196 / ULC-S139 Listed fire-rated cables produce toxic and/or combustible smoke and gases when exposed to typical building fire temperatures. We know it isn’t very easy to let UL know directly, so we want to
provide you with an opportunity to have your voice heard! Join us in
petitioning UL to include testing for dangerous gases as part of the UL 2196
standard.
Let UL know that as a Fire Safety Professional you want testing for dangerous gases included in the UL 2196 standard. Fill out the form on the right to sign the petition and make buildings safer by having UL open an investigation into smoke generation, composition and flammability as part of their listed life safety circuits.
We promise we will not use your personal information for any additional marketing activity. Your information will only be shared with UL to let them know that you are among the many Fire Safety Professionals who are concerned.
Feel free to contact us with any questions or if more information is needed. We'll get back with you shortly!

How is this not already a requirement? Safety standards should cover everything that could kill someone in a fire.
