At the very least her credentials need to be verified. There's no way she made the 6 month residency requirement. VI Tourism should investigate. Taxpayer money helps pay for this.

The person who is blessed to carry this title should be local. They would know the struggles of the people they represent and genuinely try to bring solutions to the territory as a representative. This person would try to find ways to preserve the culture of the islands, do there job for the love of their home and not for a crown!

This is 360 degrees of full disrespect for Our Culture! Have we sold our gem out so much that it is no longer ours. These issues are much deeper than a pageant but if this injustice is allowed with issue. Then have really sold everything. Our leadears better start leading. Other wise they to will be deceived out of the right to represent for there position in the isles can also be stolen. Dont allow this to pass my people. We are not to stand in our own way. We are to stand together with Spiritual and Historical cultural pride. And choose a repesentative that is qualified but truly indigenous to these Virgin Isles! Yes you have to atleast grow up here!( "Yah" Mison! ) please fix this issue and never let this injustice happen again in our Home!

This was a disrespect to our beautiful, intelligent, and talented women of the VI. It is also a direct attack on out culture by outsiders nevertheless the selling out of our own people.

What a sham. She should be forbidden from moving to places just to enter the pageant. Virgin Islanders and Puerto Ricans must take control of their pageants to make sure that our women are the ones participating and not imposters.

The correct licensing should be in place. Every business has to abide by the law in the US Virgin Islands.
