Eversource has a breakdown on their site. It says a large part of the fees is for solar incentives not everyone has a home suitable for solar why should those who don't benefit from solar have to pay for the solar others benefit from. It also says delivery, their main bussiness, consist of upkeep such as vegetation control, repairs to and updating the grid ect... we should consider going back to public utilities let tax dollars go toward the grid.
Even if you have solar your required to tie into the grid. This is insane people who can't get solar have to pay so others can have it and pay less and people who have solar need to pay for a grid that in some cases they don't need. Service charges, delivery charges and incentives got people paying multiples of the cost of the actual energy they use.
Part of the problem is also yearly increases while seemingly low you have to realize this compounds yearly. It's a problem and it's spiraling out of control.

The destination/delivery charge/customer charge has gone from approximately 30% of the Natural gas cost to nearly An additional 200% of the natural gas cost … And about 130% additional cost added for the electricity

I am sick of Eversource being allowed to scam us and monopolize! They have been illegally over charging us for a long time, and it better stop. They should have NEVER let them buy the gas company. Politicians on Eversource’s side are crooked.
