We demand that you partner with the current administration and bring the gas pipelines to be installed in NY tate into New England. You can no longer burden the citizens of this state with the Green New Deal .

Subject: Urgent Concern Regarding Rising Electricity and Natural Gas Delivery Charges Dear Governor Healey, I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the unprecedented rise in electricity and natural gas costs across Massachusetts, particularly the skyrocketing delivery charges. While energy supply rates fluctuate due to market conditions, the drastic increase in delivery fees—set by utility companies and approved by state regulators—has placed an unsustainable burden on residents and businesses alike. Many Massachusetts families are already struggling with inflation and high living costs. Now, excessive utility delivery charges are making basic necessities unaffordable. These fees, which often exceed the actual cost of energy usage, seem unjustifiable and raise serious questions about oversight and accountability within the utility sector. As a resident, I find it unacceptable that state-approved rate hikes are further squeezing working households and small businesses. I urge your administration to take immediate action to investigate and address these rising costs. Specifically, I ask that you: Demand greater transparency and justification from utility companies regarding the structure and necessity of these delivery charges. Advocate for regulatory reform to prevent excessive rate increases and ensure fair pricing for consumers. Explore alternative energy solutions that reduce reliance on monopolized delivery services and promote more affordable and sustainable options for Massachusetts residents. Massachusetts prides itself on being a leader in consumer protection and progressive energy policies. However, without intervention, these delivery costs will continue to strain households and drive businesses out of our state. I urge you to make this issue a top priority and provide relief to the residents you serve. Thank you for your time and attention to this critical matter. I look forward to your response and to seeing meaningful actio

As someone who is retired and living on Social Security this rate hike is unacceptable. I've emailed Gov. Healy and I'll say I received a response the next day. The 5% reduction Eversouce is going to give us is completely unacceptable. I just read where Eversource made a profit last year of $800 million. Nice cost of living increase. I got 2.5%. I'm sick and tired of paying for something I don't use, like solar, Mass Save, etc. Let's cut the fat out of Eversouce. I hate to say this, I really do but who wants to sic ELON MUSK ON EVERSOURCE??????

Wondering about businesses stepping up - And - Eversource has a great rating with the BBB (even though the complaints are endless and more varied than just those unaffordable delivery fees)

No one is even getting enough money to cover the cost of living increases. The cost of food/living expenses are already sky high. This rate increase is the matter of paying mortgage/rent/eating, or staying warm. I heat with gas as well as most of my neighbors do. We are low to middle income. These price hikes are just making us all poorer and poorer. Be human and put yourself in our shoes.
