The rate increases is unacceptable, especially since Eversource made record profits in 2024 and expected to make record profits again in 2025. Massachusetts needs to start cracking down on price gouging and working together to get these rates down to an appropriate level. Ratepayers should never have to go broke or choose between eating or paying the gas/electric bill!

Gas usage is usually around 50 dollars or so a month, eversource charges nearly 120 dollars to deliver. How do they justify charging a delivery fee on existing infrastructure they bought?
