Earlier this week, Donald Sterling, the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, made racial remarks that were recorded in an audio tapping. The remarks made by Sterling not only upset millions of basketball fans across the country, but also many of the players on his own team. Due to the fact that most of the players who participate in this sport are predominantly African American, many individuals feel that Donald Sterling should not be welcome in the sport of basketball. The remarks made by Sterling were directed towards his former girlfriend and he stated, "It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you're associating with black people." The statements made by Sterling were completely uncalled for and offended many people in the sport of basketball. In response to his remarks, the players on his team protested by wearing their shirts inside out and hiding the team logo. Due to the many people that were hurt by Sterling's actions, I think it would be the best thing for himself and the sport of basketball if he were to sell the team.
