St. Patrick, Patron Saint of Ireland, was never formally canonized by the Church. He performed many miracles and is most known for bringing Christianity to Ireland. When Patrick died in 461 AD there was no formal process to be named a Saint by the Church, so he is considered a Saint by the acclaim of the faithful. My family is of Irish heritage so St.Patrick is special to us. Plus, the whole world celebrates St.Patrick's Day on March 17, therefore the Church should formally canonize him a Saint. Please help me convince the Vatican and Pope Francis to finally make St. Patrick a real Saint.
