Petition to file class action lawsuit against Elio Motors

It seems more and more that I fell in a scam...

I hate scamming rich scumbags.

When I reserve the car it was initially when it first came out in every year it's been pushed back I've gotten to new car since then I've gotten remarried this is absolutely ridiculous and I even called for a refund and they refused something has got to happen we don't just give our money away to give it away I was told one thing and got nothing

Enough of these push back and lies from this never to be car company. When leaving many messages at the contact numbers Elio gives, One guy named AL calls back and refuses to give his last name. It is time for a class action law suit against this scam company.

I was one of the first to send in my $1,000.00 to get on their reservation list. I would love to get my money back, sure won't get an Elio!!!!

I tried to get my refund returned and now they are saying it’s no refundable. It was not non refundable when I signed up in 2014. I believe this is a scam.

I thought I would have my car by 2016 however, Elio has pushed back production again until 2018. My current "temporary" car will not make it until 2018. As a result, I have to purchase another car while I wait for the Elio. Very frustrated. On top of that, the Elio is not allowed to travel the HOT/HOV lanes because it cannot carry 3 people. To use the lanes, you will have to pay, unless the Department of Transportation deems it a 3-wheeled motorcycle. As a result, I am better off with a new high mpg vehicle which carries 4 or more people. I travel 1000 highway miles a week.

I hold "Place In Line" number 1776. I gave Elio my money, $1000, in autumn of 2013. Long after it was apparent no actual vehicles would be produced, Elio kept their Malls Of America show on the road, taking money from the unwary. Now they don't even have enough money to keep that road crew out there with one of their prototypes, yet continue to cheerily send out press releases and email announcements, as if a vehicle was still forthcoming, when it is screamingly obvious nothing real is happening and nothing ever will. Paul Elio and his top lieutenants have made out well, with Paul's $250K annual salary taken right off the top. The company may have started with a legitimate purpose but went off the rails at least three years ago. It has used social media, specifically Facebook, extensively and cleverly, and has instructed its Facebook moderators to permanently block any person asking the hard and honest questions. That alone leads me to believe that for some years now, the Elio organization has been committing fraud.

The jig is up, we've been had boys. I'm very saddened by the way that this has unfolded and not for myself but for the community that was promised 1500 jobs and the possibility of prosperity coming out of an old shut down Chevrolet plant. There are some videos on YouTube where individuals have attempted to find Paul Elio or even some place of business only to find an address of a business office with no employees present. I thought it was a clever tactic to offer and all in option and to take away your legal right for a refund. I was attracted to this vehicle because of it simplicity. Two redneck hillbillies, like myself, could easily manufacture something like this in a barn in the middle of Iowa. What's even more sad is that Paul Elio continues the charade that they're actually working on a real vehicle. The weekly blog gives me a sense that they are going to continue this fraud until they flee the country or are arrested. Yet by continuing the progress updates they give some diehard fans hope that the vehicle will be built. Unfortunately, Santa and the Easter bunny won't be driving an Elio.

I think we where enticed us to sign up early with a discount for a car. Elio had no backing or intentions to build this for production.

Stu Lichter, Paul Elio, and the board of directors, had enough cash to start producing the first run of the vehicle. Instead, they pocketed the entire contents of the Elio Motors bank account, including all customer vehicle deposits, and stock sale proceeds. These people should be punished for fraud, misrepresentation, cheating and stealing 60 million - 146 million from the company. A con game where Paul Elio paid himself $60 million thru his second company Elio (ESG) Engineering. Elio is a shame and a scam.

I've done enough waiting and it seems like Elio has no real intention of actually releasing the car.
