Petition to file class action lawsuit against Elio Motors

I kept hoping they would succeed, but I have lost all hope.

When I placed my order for this car it was stated on the tv show Good Morning America that this car was going to use off the shelf parts and technology. This car was all set for production in an old GM plant . I did not invest in the Elio company, I placed an order for a car! And Elio gave me a 50% down payment match plan giving me a total of 1500.00 down towards my new car, if that's not miss leading I don't know what is! The company's statements reinforced the idea that this car gets high gas mileage, high safety ratings all the statements where aimed at convincing the buyer that this car can do all they say, when in fact no car in their position could do anything they claimed ! I watched the host of Good Morning America drive off in a car that was to be the car is was going to get ! I only found out long after the fact that the car on the show was a mock up and not capable of doing anything Elio claimed? I truly feel that Paul Elio made vast amounts of money off people like me and is continuing to make even more off people that have no reasonable hope of ever get that car . I ask the court to consider the fact that some have made a lot of money off people like me , just someone trying to get by and thought that this car was good for me and good for the environment. It has become obvious that Elio Motors is actually a scheme to fraudulently raise money and not to produce automobiles.

I placed a non-refundable payment on Elio Motors books at the very start. I know now that I will NEVER see my money or a product from Elio Motors. The old adage holds true: "Let the buyer beware!"

I've been waiting far too long for a promised car. I put down $1000. I would like it back. I also bought 316 shares of stock at $12 per share in their initial offering in 2014. I would like to get compensated for that as well. I bought almost 3000 shares later through Ameritrade but fortunately I was able to sell the shares recently. I quickly reinvested the money in TSLA. Now, that's a real car company, something it looks like Elio never really intended to be.

I am Elio's largest reservation holder with 70 vehicles. My patience is all up. I have stepped across the line to non-believers. It is a sad day.

Promises are only relevant for people who intend on keeping them. We all love the idea, but money aside- Stop promoting unless you can deliver. This isn't permanent "Kick Starter".

No,I do not support this attempt at a class action lawsuit. When you signed up for this you knew it wasn't a sure thing; it was dependent upon whether or not it could get enough money to manufacture it. All lawsuits do is drain money away from the company and decrease the likelihood that the car will ever be built, and if you don't get your car because you guys drained money away from the company, then you are partially to blame for that situation. You need to ask yourself the question: Am I willing to lose my deposit if it increases the chances of the car being built? I'm willing to lose it if it increases my chances of getting an Elio.

Gave my deposit 4 years ago and still nothing

It’s been over 4 years. Ridiculous and inexcusable. Significantly beyond the limit of “reasonable expectations” for delivery.

I paid 1000 for this many years ago and every year they push the release date. The CEO is getting 200K a year of our hard earned money for writing a blog and doing a road show. I want my money back. The Sondors EV has mush better styling and only 10K.
