I gave a non refundable deposit for $250. I believe Elio never intended to produce cars.

I invested 2,000 into the IPO, and 1,000 into a deposit. I know stocks are a gamble, I'd just like to see some traction. At this point I've almost paid for 50% of the initial offering of the car. $6,800.

In my opinion, Elio is a fraud/scam/what-have-you.
They have not even fulfilled one single order of over 65,000 deposits by customers.
They have continually blamed delays on production, regulations, etc.
They have not even kept in contact with those who have made deposits.
This is going on 8 to 9 years where Elio has been fleecing customers and not delivering.
Personally, I was one of the lucky ones.
Even though I was interested in the prototypes they've shown, I chose NOT to put down a deposit because I knew from the beginning that they were nothing more than scam artists trying to enrich themselves.
(I do feel sorry for those people who actually put down a deposit).
At the very least, I would like to at least see Elio (both the company and the man - the man being this con-artist / grifter).
I would imagine that Attorney Generals from multiple states would want to get involved with this case.
So can anyone provide me with an update?
That said, I would expect Arizona's Attorney General to get involved since Elio Motors was founded and based in Phoenix, AZ.

We were all in during September 2014 and all we got was a lousy t-shirt! It would be nice to have our $1000 back since we are now retired and no longer young enough to benefit from this phantom vehicle.
