Petition to Fast Track a NEW I-10 Bridge in Southwest Louisiana

Please replace the I-10 bridge. It's been dangerous too long and is an aging structure than WILL fail sooner than later. Replace it before it's too late and many people have to pay with their lives! Act before it collapses.

I travel this way to work every 3 weeks and been doing so since 2013. The more I read about this I-10 bridge the more concerned I become. What will it take before there is actions taken to repair or rebuild this bridge?

Only a matter of time before it comes down and everyone knows it.

Every reliable metric suggests the I-10 bridge is in serious need for repair. Why is the I-210 bridge being repaired before this one? Defies all logic!

Please make this new bridge a Top Priority. Individual's safety and interstate commerce are at high risk with the existing bridge.

Our state officials have a responsibility to protect our citizens, and you are failing. This is negligent and horrifying please do something about this before dozens of families are killed or hurt.

I believe that a public-private partnership with tolling would be effective here... just look at how it's helped Texas achieve fast construction of new infrastructure.

This infrastructure project is long overdue for Southwest Louisiana. The bridge will help forge new partnerships and bring on a surge of talent, technology and tenacity.

This initiative may be the greatest infrastructure need in our region. The safety of our community and the thousands of travelers using this structure demand our action in this regard.

In order for growth we need to up grade the very old bridge that cannot accommodate the new volume of vehicles,lets be smart people.

This bridge was graded at 3 and the bridges that collapsed were graded at 4, on a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest grade).

This is an urgent and necessary project for the safety of our citizens.

Please do what makes sense, do not waste our money!!

Do the right thing before we have a major catastrophe. Replace the bridge ASAP!! Why hasn't some authority budgeted for this? Just do it!!

This bridge needs to be fixed before a major catastrophic failure happens.

Why wait until the bridge collapes and kills many people? Stop catering to industry where this bridge replacement is concerned. We have allowed them to dray their feet for over 20 years in cleaning up their EDC spill. Time we insist it be done now so we can get started on a new bridge.
