We need to start raising funds for soil study and detailed engineering. Yes, millions but money is the real excuse!

Too much growth too fast for the bridge to support the flow of local traffic. Plus, it is a major east/west travel corridor for interstate traffic.

I have seen the New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas experience massive investment in their interstate infrastructure. It is time our side of the state experience this type of infrastructure investment commensurate with the unprecedented economic expansion and investment we are experiencing and will continue to experience with ... a new I-10 bridge NOW!

This bridge will collapse one day and it needs to be fixed now. People will die because of the lack of leadership in this area.

I support the building of the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles. In addition, the State of Louisiana should move forward with the conversion of US 165 to a full freeway from Lake Charles to Monroe which is already a future Megaproject in the 2015 State Transportation Plan with the goal to lobby Congress to make it a Future Interstate 53 Corridor. I also support extending the new Future Interstate 14 Corridor recently created by Congress in the FAST Act of 2015 to Leesville, Fort Polk, and I-49 in Alexandria.
