I would like to have clarity on the number of residents making noise complaints and the amount of money spent to mitigate those concerns relative to the number of residents in our city as well as the estimated number of players using the court. Just a cursory glance shows me that very few homes would potentially be impacted. Also, the parks are open- why aren't all of the facilities within the park available- specifically those that do not require staffing. Gatekeeping public amenities violates the use of our tax dollars. For residents complaining about noise, welcome to living in a neighborhood. I don't get to have the city spend countless dollars to investigate soundproofing the neighborhood dogs, and that's 24 hours a day. Living downtown means more public interaction.

The current time restrictions are unfair to the general populace, please consider broadening the hours of play, thank you.

Extend pickleball court hours

I recently started playing Pickleball with my brother. It has a quick learning curve, which makes it more engaging to people who want to learn. It’s a shame that there is reduced access in the evening when folks are getting off of work and wanting to socialize with other community members and one of there options have been taken away. I would like to play pickleball with my brother and friends after work

We’re asking the City of Bozeman to restore longer hours at the public pickleball courts. These courts are in a public park — a space meant for community use, not silence. A few nearby homeowners are trying to dictate how a public park is used because they don’t like the sound of people playing. If you choose to live next to a park, you don’t get to enjoy all the perks while demanding others stay quiet. The city should prioritize the thousands of residents who use these courts over the handful who want peace and quiet from public space.

Pickleball is an incredible outlet and point of connection for our community. Please bring back hours that enable working individuals to play!

Pickleball has brought together our community, encouraged people to meet new residents across generations. The new hours make it nearly impossible for residents to play if they work a typical 9-6 weekday schedule. We went by Bogert on Sunday afternoon at 4:30 and were so sad to see that a park that is usually teeming with summer fun and energy was strangely quiet. The restrictions are a real loss for our community that effects thousands of residents.

4pm closure is especially ridiculous on Sundays!

Good clean fun, but the rich got their way. Time to shut down the happy -- really clean -- kids in the pool, too.

6:30 is way too early for quiet time. It's a public park, not somewhere you expect quiet hours!

6:30 is Ridiculous. As a park ranger quiet hours in any campround is 10PM, not 6:30.

I work a full time job. So, getting to the pickleball court at 6pm doesn't leave a lot of time to play. Extended hours would be nice.

I agree that 6.30 stop time severely limits people who work.

Petition author is 100% right. The reduction of hours is onerous and severely limits play by the vast majority of Bozeman‘s Pickleball players.

Please build more courts away from developments and keep the courts open til 8 pm. Thanks
