Petition to expand the Nepaug Forest parking to accommodate more cars

Traffic is too fast on 202 to safely cross. Especially with kids.

Crossing 202 not safe, need more parking.

I drove from the transfer station into Naupaug SF. The road is washed out, pitted and blocked by downed trees.

I support additional parking. It is much needed for the safety of both the people enjoying the park and for the drivers who have to negotiate cars pulling out onto rt 202 at a slower speeds.

Great idea. The current parking area along Rt. 202 requires bikers and pedestrians to park alongside and cross a road where cars travel at about 60mph. Safe, expanded parking north of 202 would solve this problem.

Additional parking makes it safer for hikers and bikers.

More parking is just safer. People will be using the park whether you make space or not.

I have been there many weekends where trail users are forced to park on and cross the busy main road.

Just please don’t pave it..
